Principal Artistic mediums: Watercolor, Acrylic (mixed) and Ceramics
 
Artists' Biography: Born in Brooklyn, New York, Grew up in New Jersey and graduated with a BS from Columbia University. Certified New York State School Teacher. Taught school in New York, and moved to Florida in 1980 with her husband Stuart. Began painting oils but gave that up for the light airy results of transparent watercolors. Beside watercolors, she works in acrylic and mixed media and very recently in hand building ceramics.
 
Awards: Jan '93 - Artist Forum Juried Show at the King Center. Spring '93 - Fl. State NSDAR American Heritage Art Competition Honorable Mention. Spring '96 - Spacecoast Art League Show Honorable Mention. Fall '96 Spacecoast Art league Show Third Place Watercolor. Fall '97 Spacecoast Art League Show Second Place Watercolor. BMAS 19th juried show. Jan 1999 Boundless Expressions First Annual Juried Show at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer and Research Center at Tampa, Florida Honorable Mention. BMAS Abstract Exhibition sponsored by the Brevard Watercolor Society. May '99 a one week exhibit at the Yale Club in New York City Florida Watercolor Society Show in Dunedin, Fl. September 1999. Charlotte County Art Guild National Exhibit 2000 in February at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Fl. Proposal accepted by the Brevard County Library System for the decoration of the walls in the Childrens Room of the Eau Gallie Library, to have the children create a mural for the walls. Up coming show at the King Center December 23, 2000 through January 31, 2001.
 
Education/Workshops: BS Columbia University 1944. NYS Registered Nurse's License (now retired). MS in Health Sciences at SUNY Stoney Brook School of Health Sciences 1971. Continuous ongoing study since 1980 as follows: Pastels at Brevard Community College under Pat Joslin. Also studied under the following well known artists: Mona Jordan, Donne Bitner, Sue Archer, Nancy Dillon, Nancy Crawford, Janet Rogers, Marjorie Burnup, Betsy Dillard Stroud from Arizona, Miles Batt, Frits Van Eeden, and assorted workshops offered by the Brevard Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Florida Watercolor Society and the Brevard Watercolor Society. Has been studying ceramics under Bobby MacMillian at the Foosaner wing of BMAS.
 
Commissions & Exhibitions: Two portraits of my Granddaughters (I prefer not to do portraits except those of animals). The Rufus Fairbanks Chapter of the NSDAR requested a picture as the grand prize for the 2001 Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon to be held at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club. P-1 Southern Watercolor Society, P-2 Florida Watercolor Society, won Strawbridge Art League 2001 Artists Guild Award, Florida Watercolor Society Strathmore Paper Award in 2001,
 
Articles Media Coverage: Has been included in the Nov/Dec issue of the Moffitt Cancer and Research Center's international Journal "Cancer Control". Florida Today Newspaper February 27, 2000. Florida Watercolor Society 28th Annual Exhibition Catalog.
