Soon Y. Warren
was born in South Korea. She immigrated to the United States in 1987. Soon's favorite subjects are those found in nature: people, an animal, trees, a tangerine, pear, oriental poppy, iris or something of intrigue at the moment. Flowers from her gardens often become models for paintings.

Soon takes photographs for use as reference material. She says that, "I'm inspired by the beauty and complexity of nature and our surroundings. I try to paint the essence of subjects and my sincere feeling for nature"

Moving to the U.S., Soon enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) in Hampton, Virginia, where she earned an AAS degree in Commercial Art. She worked in the TNCC public relations and publishing department. Soon put away her paints while she worked.

After moving to Fort Worth in 1998, Soon returned to painting. Since, Soon had several exhibitions and earned numerous awards. Soon Y. is a signature member of The National Watercolor Society (NWS), Southern Watercolor Society (SW), Texas Watercolor Society, Purple Sage Brush (TWS), and Society of Watercolor Artist (SWA).

She published a art technique book "Vibrant Flowers in Watercolor" with F+W Publication, (North Light Book) in 2006.

She paints and teaches at a home studio, perfects her gardens, and finds time to spend with her husband, Peter Warren.
