Kris Parins
I have been involved in art and design all of my life; after earning my degree from the University of Wisconsin I worked as a fiber artist, and later as an art director for advertising and design firms. The computer and digital camera are important parts of my creative process today.

Since 1999, I have devoted my creative energy to fine art, working primarily in watercolor. The nature of watercolor introduces randomness and spontaneity to my work. My background in graphic design has aided in the process of organizing the chaos. My hope is that the person who views my art will see a small part of the world in a new light.

My work has been juried into regional and national exhibits and appears in “Splash 9: Watercolor Secrets.” Solo exhibits include the Florida West Coast Symphony, Harpers Ferry National Park, and Lands End Corporate Office.

In recent years, I have enjoyed the experience of teaching watercolor workshops. I maintain studios in Northern Wisconsin and in Sarasota, Florida.
