Jane was born and raised in a small town in northern Michigan. She has lived and worked in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina since 1982. She received a B.A. in history from North Carolina State University in 1994. Jane first studied art at Delta College in Michigan in the early 1970's. Her primary medium then was oils. Since 1987, her choice of medium has been watercolor. More recently she has worked in acrylic. Janeis an active member of Fine Arts League of Cary, Triangle Artists Watercolor Society of North Carolina (exhibitions chair), and the Southern Watercolor Society. Her work has been juried into both local and national art exhibitions where she has also received awards. Her paintings hang in private collections in North Carolina, Georgia and Michigan. Several of
her watercolors hang in a permanent collection at Western Wake Hospital in Cary, N.C. Jane teaches watercolor and acrylic at Jordan Hall Art Center in Cary.
