- Toni M. Elkins. NWS, WHS, SW
- Toni M. Elkins is a signature member of 16 watercolor societies
- including National Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA Honor Society,
- Watercolor West and Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Society.
- In 2002, she earned The President's Medallion in San Diego
- Watercolor for acceptance 10 years. Ms. Elkins also earned
- Nautilus Fellowship in The Society of Experimental Artists
- for acceptance 6 years.
- Ms. Elkins won the highest award given by The Governor for
- contribution to the arts in South Carolina,
- The Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award.
- She was selected as one of 16 women in SC to represent
- "Believe in A Girl" Campaign by The Girl Scouts of The Congaree Area.
- "My most recent work is a combination of emotions from
- September 11, and the influence of Joan Miro.
- I feel that it is our duty as artists to preserve our history.
- Of course realizing that our paintings come from
- "our" heart,, and we must be allowed those limitations."
